COMET (The Centre for Observation and Modelling of Earthquakes, Volcanoes & Tectonics), brings together scientists from leading UK universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, Leeds and UCL. Using state of the art satellite data, modelling and observations they study earthquakes and volcanoes to understand the potential hazards they pose to people and places.

Two key board members approached Detail to audit the tired, existing identity and build a fresh new brand to take this important study centre forward.

Following extensive research we created a distinctive brand with a narrative that communicates on many levels, reflecting the complex and intriguing nature of COMET’s work.
